Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update Arrives To Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Handsets In Europe, Introduces Full-Screen Album Art, Improved Performance

There are only a few handsets which run the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, and being included in this group is already an accomplishment for any OEM. Now, it's the Samsung Galaxy Note 3's turn to receive the most awaited update.

In a report by GSM Arena, the newest version of KitKat has started to roll out in Galaxy Note 3 handsets in Poland and some parts of Europe. Considering Samsung's scheduling in OTA releases, other countries would eventually get the update soon.

Even before the official release of the KitKat update, Sam Mobile already leaked the final build for the Android-powered handset. It only took a couple of hours before the Korean manufacturer officially announced the Android update.

However, it would be important to note that this update will only arrive to the N9005 model only, the one which is powered by a Snapdragon 800 chipset and LTE.

Some of the notable changes include the white icons and texts on the notifications bar, full-screen album art mode in lockscreen, a new camera shortcut button, and lots of performance and security improvements.
