‘Saturday Night Live’ Schedule 2014: Host Drake, New Cast Member Sasheer Zamata Debut On This Weekend's Episode; Watch Promo Here!

"Saturday Night Live" returns to NBC this weekend, starting off the 2014 schedule right with the debut of new cast member Sasheer Zamata and Drake as host and musical guest in this weekend's episode.

This weekend's episode of "Saturday Night Live" will be the first time Drake will host the sketch comedy show. The promo trailer features rapper Drake getting annoyed with Bobby Moynihan and Jay Pharoah as they try to show him some of their beats.

The "Saturday Night Live" episode on January 18 is also important because it will be the debut of Sasheer Zamata as the newest "SNL" cast member. She is the first black woman on the "Saturday Night Live" cast in more than six years. Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, and a University of Virginia grad, Zamata was hired after a series of recent auditions following criticism of "SNL" for its lack of diversity, BlackNews.com reports. The Hollywood Reporter notes that "Saturday Night Live" also added two black women to its writing staff, LaKendra Tookes and Leslie Jones.

Meanwhile, Drake has also partnered with global charity auction site Charitybuzz to provide two lucky fans with a pair of tickets to see his performance on "Saturday Night Live," JuicyMagOnline.com reports. Proceeds from DRAKE's Charitybuzz auction will be donated to the Dominic M. Aguilar Special Needs Trust to assist a one-year-old currently battling a rare brain condition.
