Upcoming Sony Phones 2014: Xperia Z1 Compact Goes On Sale In Sweden, Costs Around €520

There are only a few upcoming Sony phones 2014 that have already been announced, and one of these handsets has started getting released in Europe.

First announced at the CES in Las Vegas, the Xperia Z1 Compact now arrives to Sweden with a fairly hefty price tag.

According to a report from GSM Arena, the smaller sibling of Sony's current flagship will cost SEK 4,595 or about €520, which is pretty decent considering the handset's features.

While the Xperia Z1 Compact is smaller than its flagship sibling, it did not lose the flagship-level in terms of specs. It is powered by a 4.3-inch display with 720p resolution, a Snapdragon 800 SoC, quad-core CPU, a 20.7MP camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box with a promised KitKat update.

As the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona approaches, we will expect the Japanese manufacturer to send press invites soon for the launch of new Sony phones, including the rumored Xperia Z2.
