iPhone 6 Vs. Galaxy S5: Rivalry Of Two Smartphones Escalates Even Before They Are Announced

There are a number of exciting smartphones coming out this year, but nothing is more exciting than to see the iPhone 6 vs. Galaxy S5 rivalry. And months even before they see the light of day, the two heayweights are already exchanging blows.

In the past years, the two flagship lineups have battled for supremacy in the smartphone world. And while one has won over the other at some point in time, the two handsets still have a lot to cover to fully satisfy their subscribers.

As for the iPhone, a lot, though not all, of its fans have waited for a bigger device that will provide more touch screen capabilities and better experience in gaming and watching videos. And if recent rumors are true, then they could finally get what they wanted.

The iPhone 6 is not just going to have a screen that's larger than 4 inches, but apparently one that exceeds 5 inches, making it a direct rival of the Galaxy S5.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S5 has been getting a lot of pressure lately due to its supposed metal body rumor, which was recently been retracted. Now, rumors suggest that there will be two variations of the device, one covered in plastic, the other one in metal.

While that rumor is not yet confirmed, there is one that may take a page from Apple's book. Recent reports say that Samsung's upcoming flagship would get the fingerprint scanner as well.

With January ending and MWC a couple of weeks away, we'll see if Samsung is able to announce its Galaxy S5 flagship. And when it does, we're pretty sure Apple will be making its usual countermoves once again.
