Motorola Moto G vs Motorola Moto X vs Google Nexus 5: Specs Of Android Powered Devices Pitted; Which Will Be The Budget Friendly Smartphone Of Choice?

Motorola Moto G vs Motorola Moto X vs Google Nexus 5 is a hot debate due to the fact that they are all low end smartphones with great features. The Moto G and the Moto X look somewhat similar and more specs will be needed to choose between the two. They are also competitively priced in comparison to the Google Nexus 5. All three of these devices run on the latest Android 4.4 OS.

Design
When it comes to dimensions, the Google Nexus 5 is the largest at 5.43 by 2.72 by 0.34 inches. It is then closely followed by the Motorola Moto G at 5.11 by 2.59 by 0.46 inches. The Moto X is the smallest with dimensions of 5.09 by 2.57 by 0.41 inches. In the weight comparison, the Google Nexus 5 and the Moto X both weigh 130g while the Moto G is the heaviest with 13 grams more.

Display
The Nexus 5 has the biggest display of the 3 devices with a screen of 5.0 inches. It is then closely followed by the Moto X with 4.7 inches and then the Moto G with 4.5 inches. The Nexus 5 has the highest resolution as well with an IPS LCD 1080 by 1920 pixel resolution spread out at 445 ppi. The Motorola Moto G comes in second with an LCD display of 720 by 1280 pixels and a ppi of 329. The Moto X has the same 720 by 1280p resolution but it has a lower ppi of 316 on its AMOLED technology screen.

Camera
Once again there is a clear distinction between the 3 smart devices this time on the cameras. This time the Moto X is the winner with a 10 Megapixel camera which is 2 more pixels than the Nexus 5 and 5 more pixels than the Moto G. all three of the devices use an LED flash for their camera. Both Motorola and Google put front-facing cameras on their devices. Both the Moto G and the Nexus 5 have 1.3 megapixels while the Moto X has a larger 2 megapixels.

Processing Power
All three devices use a system chip processor from Qualcomm Snapdragon. The Moto G bears the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 while the Moto X uses Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960. The Google Nexus 5 runs on a powerful Snapdragon 800 MSM8974. Both the Moto G and the Nexus 5 have Quad core processors while the Moto X has a dual core. The Moto G comes with an 8GB built-in storage while both the Moto X and Nexus 5 have 16GB of storage.
