Samsung Galaxy S4 vs. LG G2: Specs Of South Korean Tech Giant's Flagships Highlighted In Comparison Review; Which Device Would You Choose?

LG G2 vs. Samsung Galaxy S4 was an inevitable debate considering that these 2 Korean smartphone manufacturers left world renowned leading brands in the dust in terms of sales and incorporated tech. while the Galaxy S4 sold many times more than the G2, the G2 still has quite a number of features that make the decision on which to get a tough one.

Where Samsung Galaxy S4 Wins
The Samsung Galaxy S4 screen is one of the first things to behold on the smartphone. It has a 5-inch display that uses AMOLED technology. This means that you have multiple viewing angles that still look great as well as nice contrast on the colors. The colors look vibrant without it being too much so that users don’t find it oversaturated. The LG G2 on the other hand has an LCD display. Users will not have as many viewing angles and the color contrasts are also not that satisfactory.

Another factor that makes the S4 screen better than the G2 is the sensitivity. One can simply hover a finger above the screen and it will open up apps or execute commands. Users will be happy to know that they do not have to take off their gloves to use it as it will simply respond to your finger gestures.

Samsung has also managed to make multi-tasking simpler by allowing users to open 2 different tasks on the same screen. It looks like a split-screen. LG G2 tried to promote multitasking by letting you run mini-apps that float around like in windows. This doesn’t function better than the S4 as you cannot actually open 2 different apps.

The Galaxy S4 is also smaller in dimensions than the G2. This has consequently made it the lighter smartphone of the two. The S4 is 130g while the G2 weighs 143. For their advanced features however, both manufacturers get a thumbs up for making them so light.

Last but not least, one can remove the battery on the S4 while that of the G2 has a fixed cover you cannot remove. The S4 therefore is a better device for those who have to carry around a spare battery as they do not always have the opportunity to constantly charge it.

Where LG G2 Wins
The LG G2 is a bigger handset than the Samsung S4 which is what some people prefer. It has a 5.2-inch screen while Samsung opted for 5 inches. When you look at both of the smartphones, the G2 has a great looking compact design. The body is very compact despite the fact that it has a huge screen in it. The body is also practically bezel-free which makes it look even more premium.

LG also managed to fit the G2 with a more powerful chipset than that which users will have in their S4. It runs on a Snapdragon 800 from Qualcomm that clocks at 2.26 GHz. The S4 runs on a Snapdragon 600 which clocks at 1.9 GHz. This means that the G2 actually launches apps faster than the Samsung Galaxy S4

While Samsung users have the advantage of being able to remove their battery, the G2 has a longer battery life. It has a 3,000 mAh battery while the Samsung has 2,600 mAh. This gives it about 2 hours more on a single charge.

Last but not least, the camera. While both phones come with 13MP cameras, the G2 has Optical Image Stabilization while the Samsung does not. This means that it gives you better shots and videos in low light as well as more stable videos.
