Upcoming Samsung Phones 2014: Tech Giant Rumored To Launch World's First Smartphone With 4K Display, May Be Unveiled 2015

For  the past couple of months, rumor has it that the Korean manufacturer is going to use 2K displays (2560 x 1440) for its upcoming Samsung phones in 2014, including the highly-anticipated Galaxy S5.

However, that's not what has been stealing headlines the past day. In a report by several tech websites, Samsung is reportedly working on 4K displays and will be placing them in smartphones as early as next year.

The manufacturer has been developing 4K displays or Quad HD (3480 x 2160) for its television lineup, and a jump to the mobile industry is certainly inevitable, especially for Samsung that is known for providing the latest cutting edge technology to its flagship devices.

The Galaxy S5 is under way and could see the light of day during the MWC event in Barcelona. By that time, we will also get to see its 2K display that has been rumored for the past months.

It would also be gauge for Samsung if it is going to the right direction with displays of whopping resolution and pixels per inch (PPI).
