Upcoming Sony Phones 2014: Audiophile-Centered Xperia E1 Now Available For Pre-Order In UK And Germany, Features Dedicated Walkman Button, Audio Playback Options

There are a number of decent upcoming Sony phones in 2014, but in case you are looking for budget handset that is able to deliver the specific function you want, then the Xperia E1 can be a great option.

Announced a couple of weeks back together with the Xperia T2 Ultra, the E1 is a budget smartphone that is aimed at the music-loving market. Packed with a dedicated Walkman button to manage your songs, this phone will certainly bring back the good old memories of using the company's trademark audio playback device.

In addition, Sony also claims that the Xperia E's loudspeaker is able to hit 100dB which is pretty impressive for a device this small. There are also a few cool features like shake to shuffle, and hardware buttons to control audio playback.

You may want to remember that the Xperia E1 is still a smartphone. It packs a 4-inch screen with 800 x 480 resolution, a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage.

Do those specs sound familiar? That's because those are all the rumored specs of the upcoming Nokia android phone - the Normandy.

Back to the E1, the handset also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion, as well as an option for dual-SIM-enabled version.

According to the report by GSM Arena, the Sony Xperia E1 will be available at €139 for the single SIM version and €149 for the dual-SIM variant.
