Miley Cyrus Strips Down For MTV’s Unplugged Taping; Madonna Tweets Cowgirl Duet Pix

Miley Cyrus did a little do-see-do with Madonna at last night's taping of MTV's Unplugged. Miley Cyrus and Madonna both owe a lot to MTV and MTV owes a lot to them. Miley Cyrus's VMAs 2013 performance nabbed more headlines than almost any other story last year. Madonna, of course, has made many controversial MTV appearances. From her "Like a Virgin" grinds to that famous kiss with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, Madonna mesmerizes every time she's on MTV.

Miley Cyrus taped the acoustic concert Tuesday on a Hollywood soundstage. Madonna joined Miley Cyrus for a country turn of on Miley's MTV Unplugged show on Wednesday night. For "4X4," Miley and Madonna were backed by a seven-piece band and there were hay bales on the stage. Cyrus told the audience "I'm from Nashville. And since I couldn't make all of you guys go back home with me, I tried to bring Nashville here for the night." Miley Cyrus' dad is Billy Ray Cyrus, singer of "Achy Breaky Heart."

Madonna tweeted a cowgirl picture saying "Don't ever Tell us We Can't STOP! #revolutionoflove."

A lot of the "Bangerz" songs will get their live concert debut on Miley's Unplugged

MTV promises a new slate of surprise guests and stripped down, mainly acoustic renditions of Miley's biggest hits. Cyrus will feature new songs from her "Bangerz" album, including "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball."

MTV said "the performance will showcase a more intimate side of Cyrus and feature surprise guests for an unexpected re-invention of the songs that have defined her career, including several from her #1 critically acclaimed album, Bangerz."

In a news release, MTV's executive Vice President of music and talent programming strategy, Amy Doyle, said "Miley's vision for the performance is like nothing we've ever seen. I can say that this will easily be one of the most memorable 'Unplugged' performances to date."
