  • Smart backlight control - similar to Samsung's Smart Stay, the screen will stay on as long as you look at it
  • Double tap to wake up the screen
  • Built-in answering machine in the dialer

  • Notifications dropdown customization options
  • The ability to choose the default SMS app
  • Printing option
  • What's New - what looks like an app that taps into Sony's media properties, accessible with a swipe up from the base of the screen, just like Google Now.
  • White icons and transparent status bar
  • The ability to close all apps in Recent Apps

In a report by Android Authority, several sceens of the device shows that the Sony handset will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box.

If you have been checking out some tech rumors for the past few weeks, the Sony Sirius is considered as a flagship-handset. In fact, it may actually be the Sony Xperia Z2 disguised in the Sirius moniker.

Previous rumors claim that the Android-powered handset would boast a 5.2-inch screen, a high-end Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM for maximum multi-tasking capabilities, and probably a 20MP resolution camera.

Is the Sony Sirius one of the phones in your checklist for this year?

Just stay tuned and we'll bring you all the fresh details as soon as they arrive.
