Oppo N1 Release Date: Cameraphone With Rotating Sensor And CyanogenMod Support Finally Arrives In India, Pricing Starts At About $640

Since the handset has been announced late last year, the Oppo N1 release date for some markets has been checked regularly. Now, the feature-packed smartphone is coming to the Indian sub-continent.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Oppo N1 is now available in India for INR 39,999 or about $640.

The phone runs on Oppo's own Color OS that is based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The N1 is also the world's first smartphone that officially gets the support of CyanogenMod 10.2 which is on the other hand based on Android version 4.3.

Apart from the operating system, the Oppo N1 packs above average specs including a 5.9-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display, a quad-core Krait CPU clocked at 1.7GHz, a slightly outdated Snapdragon 600 chipset, 2GB of RAM, and either the 16GB of 32GB variant of the device.

However, what sets it apart from the competition is the 13-megapixel camera that is able to rotate by more than 200 degrees. That makes it capable of capturing both front and rear shots.

Under the hood, the Oppo N1 has a 3,160mAh battery, and a bundled O-Click Bluetooth remote to track the device.
