Upcoming Android Tablets 2014: Huawei Soon To Announce MediaPad X1 7.0, Detailed Specs Include Full HD Display, Hisilicon Kirin Chipset, 2GB Of RAM

There are already a good number of upcoming Android tablets in 2014 to choose from, and this one from Huawei would soon take center stage.

According to a report from The Droid Guy, the Chinese manufacturer is almost set to unveil its newest tablet - the MediaPad X1 7.0, as it appears in the Chinese Tenaa file, the equivalent of the FCC in the US.

Huawei has been piling up the device releases lately, recently launching two Android-powered handsets and even working on Windows Phone smartphones. Now, the Chinese company wants to conquer even the very competitive tablet market.

As expected from Huawei, the MediaPad X1 7.0 does not offer much, probably to compensate for its assumed budget pricing. It boasts a 7-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display with a pixel per inch of 323, a 1.6GHz Hisilicon 910 Kirin processor, 2GB of RAM and a Mali-450 GPU for decent graphics performance.

The Tenaa filing also shows that the MediaPad X1 7.0 has a thin frame - only 7.5mm, which may come in handy for users who want a lightweight device to be their companion.

Unfortunately, release and availability as well as pricing details have not yet been confirmed. However, the fact that it already appeared in the Chinese Tenaa means it could be geared for launch any time soon. While a China launch is inevitable, we sure hope the device will also make its way to the international market.
