NBA All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk Contest 2014: John Wall And Damian Lillard Invited To Join; Petition For LeBron James To Dunk Continues

NBA All-Star Weekend 2014 Dunk Contest: John Wall and Damian Lillard, both in the All-Star Game as reserves, are also invited to join the dunk contest this year and also in the Skills Challenge for Wall.

This invitation would be exciting as these two players have been flashy with their moves lately and would surely make an exciting dunk contest if they opted to join.

"I'll make decisions (Friday) or sometime next week," he said after being asked by Bleacher Report. "They have asked me. I'm not sure. I don't know what I'll do yet."

Every week, Shaq, Charles Barkley and the rest of their co-hosts in Inside the NBA brings out the most entertaining basketball analysts in their segment.

In Bleacher Report's analyst Reese Waters 'The Lineup' segment, he put up of what it looked like an online petition to get Kevin Durant, Paul George, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade to make the NBA All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk Contest a bit more interesting and exciting if they would just give them their few minutes to give what the fans have been looking for since the Vince Carter era dunk contest in 2000.

In 2010, LeBron James got everyone's hope up when he said he would join the Slam Dunk contest for the following year but didn't push through.

Stars like Blake Griffin and Dwight Howard went on the dunk contest stage to grab the trophy instead.

People throughout the entire web, whether a hater or a big fan of King James, wants to see more quality dunkers in the NBA All-Star Weekend Dunk Contest. LeBron might be the most possible and most explosive player to join the contest, which can make this 2014 NBA All-Star weekend the most exciting if this would happen.

This video is an online petition in YouTube asking for LeBron James to join the dunk contest:

Nike, on the other hand, released a commercial where you could see LeBron joining a dunk contest. But it is not the NBA All-Star Weekend. Maybe this is how close we could see him dunk? We would never know.

Kevin Durant has also been joining the petition saying he would really love to see the Miami Heat star surprise everyone in the dunk contest.

Meanwhile, expected to comeback to defend his Slam Dunk title is Terrence Ross of the Toronto Raptors. He might not shown off a lot this season except for an amazing 51-point performance a few days ago, he will probably invited by the league to return and showcase his dunking skills in this year's contest.

From NBA, also expected to showcase their talents are DeAndre Jordan, the center of the Clippers, who almost doesn't miss any game without an empathic highlight-worthy dunk and the rookie from Orlando, Victor Oladipo, who teased fans with a shocking 360 dunk in-game earlier in the season.
