Upcoming Windows Phones 2014: SM-W750V By Samsung Allegedly Arriving To Verizon, Packs 4.3" Display And Possible Midrange Specs

Nokia will soon become a part of Microsoft, and if you are looking for upcoming Windows Phones for 2014 that do not have the Nokia branding, then you may as well suit yourself with Samsung's rumored handset.

According to a report by GSM Arena, notorious leakster EV Leaks tweeted that a WP-powered phone is on its way to Verizon and is codenamed as 'Huron'.

The tweet also suggests that the upcoming Windows Phone handset from Samsung looks similar to a current Galaxy S device today. We still don't have a clue which handset it is as the Korean tech giant has currently dozens of them.

However, another rumored detail is a 4.3-inch screen. It may not be much and certainly not the ground-breaking type, but if Samsung wants to beat Nokia in its own game, it would probably follow the Lumia 520's path to stardom.

Still, there is also a possibility that the Korean manufacturer would release a flagship-level Windows Phone handset. While its previous midrangers running on Microsoft's mobile platform did not quite make the splash, at least it provided options for consumers.

Now that Windows Phone 8.1 will soon be released, and the Windows store is becoming more packed with useful apps and top games, mobile makers would surely grab the opportunity of picking up where Nokia's footprints will stop as it develops the first Microsoft smartphone.
