Fantastic Four Reboot Cast Rumors: Emmy Rossum, Kate Mara Auditioned For Role Of Sue Storm! Which TV Star Gets Invisible On The Big Screen?

The Fantastic Four Reboot is going on full blast! After the script has been finalized and the release date is set on June 19, 2015, Director Josh Trank is ready to shoot his movie. But where's the cast?

As of this writing, only Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station) is confirmed to be in the film. He will play the blazing Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch. That role used to be portrayed by Chris Evans, who went on to become Marvel Studios' "Captain America."  So as of now, the Fantastic Four currently has a cast of one.

That will change in the coming weeks. The rumor sites have been dishing out different Fantastic Four casting calls and different names have been attached. Josh Trank has already debunked some of them, but he has not confirmed anyone yet. The latest casting rumors are from The Hollywood Reporter, which reports certain actresses who have actually tested for the role of Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman.  In the 2005 Fantastic Four movie (and its sequel) this role belonged to Jessica Alba, who was hardly ever invisible at that time.

From The Hollywood Reporter: "According to multiple insiders, Kate Mara and Emmy Rossum tested for the part of Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman, on Tuesday.

Insiders also say that Miles Teller, currently one of the town's hottest young actors coming off of the Sundance smash Whiplash, tested for the part of Reed Richards, the stretchable leader known as Mr. Fantastic. Christian Cook, meanwhile, is said to have tested for Ben Grimm, the rock-skinned strongman of the group.

Earlier reports naming actresses such as Saoirse Ronan and Elizabeth Olsen proved to be incorrect as schedules and interest waxed and waned. Also not testing is Kit Harington, who booked the period drama Testament of Youth."

That's a horde of cast rumors from THR that could virtually complete the Fantastic Four. But there is one more juicy tidbit that they have saved for last. Every supergroup must have a diabolic villain, and for the Fantastic Four, the arch enemy throne belongs to Dr. Doom. THR confirms it:

"Dr. Doom is said to be the villain of the reboot (the character appeared in Fox's two previous movies and was played by Julian McMahon)."

Of course, nothing is final yet. Not even the names that have been mentioned multiple times (Kate Mara, Miles Teller) are assured at this point. Kpopstarz.com will track all developments until the film is shown-June 19, 2015.
