Stephen King Cell Movie Cast Rumors: Hunger Games’ Isabelle Fuhrman Lands Female Lead Role In Novel-Based Film

Isabell Fuhrman, known for her role as Clove in Hunger Games, has been selected as one of the main casts of the film adaptation of Stephen King's novel, Cell.

Deadline reported that the 16-year old actress star "opposite the previously-attached John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson" in the apocalyptic science-fiction novel.

The whole report said:

EXCLUSIVE: Isabelle Fuhrman, who played memorable baddies in both The Hunger Games and Orphan, has landed the female lead opposite Samuel L. Jackson and John Cusack in The Cell. The film is an adaptation of the Stephen King thriller novel about an apocalyptic event that amounts to a pitch heard by anyone on a cell phone at a certain moment in time, which turns them into zombified beings with a herd mentality. Fuhrman will play the lead role of Alice. Paranormal Activity 2 helmer Tod Williams is directing a script by King and Adam Alleca, the latter of whom scripted Last House On The Left. Fuhrman next stars in The Wilderness Of James and Dear Eleanor. She's repped by CAA and Management 360.

The film will be directed by Paranormal Activity 2's Tod "Kip" Williams with more details expected to come soon.

Eli Roth (Hostel, Cabin Fever) was first selected to direct Cell but decided to cancel the deal because there "was just sort of a difference in opinion on how to make to film and what the story should be, and there's a different direction the studio wants to go with it."

Cusack's selection for the main cast, Clayton Riddell, was first in October 2012 while Samuel Jackson agreed to  play Tom McCourt on November 5, 2013. These two veteran actors first worked with King in the successful Stephen King adaptation of horror film 1408.
