7107 International Music Festival Lineup Rumors: Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z And Kanye West Rumored To Play; Red Hot Chili Peppers And Kendrick Lamar Confirmed

In less than three weeks from now, the 7107 International Music Festival will happen in Clark, Pampanga, Philippines on February 22-23.

The 7107 International Music Festival is the first of its kind in the Philippines, as it will feature a whole lot of international acts including Kendrick Lamar, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Empire of the Sun and Kaskade, among others.

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Asteroids Galaxy Tour and The Natives will also be there alongside local Filipino acts like Up Dharma Down, Itchyworms, Rocksteddy, Spongecola, Radioactive Sago Project Pulso and Musical O, to name a few.

"I wanted the Philippines to have an International Music Festival platform, a festival that will promote local artists side by side international artists, a festival the Philippines can be proud of, and a festival that will bring Philippines music, culture, and creativity to the world stage," Tina Herrera, the festival's executive producer, told Billboard.

Part of the proceeds of the festival will be donated reportedly to the victims of the recent killer typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda that affected thousands of Filipinos late last year.

"We want 7107 International Music Festival to be a reminder to our countrymen that music moves, and help is on the way," Herrera said in an earlier press statement.

In recent rumors, the Facebook page of 7107imf has been posting images and lines from songs from artists that the organizers were trying to get. Among the rumored artists that the organizers teased were No Doubt, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lorde and Snoop Dogg, who weren't able to confirm because of a reported higher budget that would be hard to accommodate.

"I don't know where those rumors came from. We did approach a couple of them [the artists], but they were either not available or just didn't fit the festival structure," said Mike Pio Roda, 7107 founder and producer.

"I must say some of the rumored were people that we approached-maybe like a handful of them," the producer stressed.
