Android 4.4 Kit Kat Release Date All But Confirmed As Samsung Makes A List Of Supported Devices, Recent Galaxy Note And Galaxy S Handsets Included

If you are wondering whether your old Samsung device would have an Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date or not, then this list made by the Korean company would confirm it.  

Samsung has done a fairly good job in delivering timely updates and newer Android versions even to its older devices. But in case you are already worried your smartphone is not supported by KitKat, just check out the list Samsung made. 

In a report by GSM Arena and Android Authority, the Korean tech giant recently released a list of 15 Galaxy phones, phablets and tablets which would get an Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date soon. 

Currently, the company is developing the Android 4.4 firmware for the following devices, which means the update may be coming in a few months. 

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 3
  • Samsung Galaxy Note II
  • Samsung Galaxy S4
  • Samsung Galaxy S4 mini
  • Samsung Galaxy S4 Active
  • Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom
  • Samsung Galaxy S III
  • Samsung Galaxy S III mini
  • Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3
  • Samsung Galaxy Light

Meanwhile, a number of recent Samsung tablets have also made their way into the list, and are classified as Kitkat compatible:
