LG G Pro 2 Release Date Hits Korea On February 21, Specs Of Monster Android Phone Include 5.9" 1080p Display, 13MP Camera, Snapdragon 800, 3GB RAM

The LG G Pro 2 release date is still unclear in spite getting announced ahead of the MWC event in Barcelona. Now, a new report confirms that LG's newest flagship phablet will arrive to its home Korean market on February 21.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the 5.9-inch phablet will launch first in Korea before becoming internationally available, probably in March. We also expect the device to make its first public appearance at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week.

In the report, the G Pro 2 will first hit Korea, then other neighboring countries in Asia, before moving to Europe and the United States.

Announced a week ago, the G Pro 2 is the successor of the relatively popular Optimus G Pro which debuted last year. But with a better specsheet and marketing campaign backing it, the G Pro 2 is likely to immediately overtake its older sibling.

The LG handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, running four Krait 400 cores each clocked at 2.23GHz, Adreno 330 for extreme graphics performance, 3GB of RAM, and a 13MP primary camera with optical image stabilization.

The Android-powered handset comes with KitKat out of the box, and is powered by a 3,200mAh battery.
