'X Men: Days Of Future Past' Plot Spoilers: Wolverine Dies In Movie? Jean Grey And Cyclops To Return?

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" promises a mutant fest, with more than 20 mutants on board. A lot of plot spoilers are starting to circulate online. There are also rumors saying that Wolverine dies in the movie, or Cyclops and Jean Grey might return. Are we sure that everyone is covered? There might be some surprises towards the end!

Keep in mind that "X-Men: DOFP" involves time travel. That much is revealed and confirmed. Any material that deals with time travel opens itself to a world of possibilities. Hence, there are various theories on how "Days of Future Past" will end.

One of them involves the death of Wolverine.

There were some sectors who were not pleased with the decision to substitute Logan for a task that was assigned to Kitty Pryde (played by recently controversial Ellen Page) in the original comics story arc. The sentiment is that there was too much Wolverine going on. Hugh Jackman may be eye candy for most, but he already has his own solo sequel. In fact, he's the ONLY one who has solo outings in this bunch. Why make him hog all the screen time?

The short answer is because it could be his last.

Hugh Jackman admitted the possibility with MTV: "It may be the last. By the way, it didn't hit me until three weeks before the end [of shooting 'X-Men: Days of Future Past], because we promoted 'The Wolverine' and I came back on set with three weeks to go, and that's when I went, 'Well, who knows? Maybe there's no more Wolverine. Maybe this is it. Who knows? Maybe. So I really made the most of those last few weeks. I enjoyed every time I put the claws on. I nicked everything off the set, so Halloween, come to me and I'll hook you up. I keep saying it's like two movies in one, but with the size of it it's really three in one. It really is going to blow people away because of the story."

The 'two movies in one' statement is also vouched by Director Bryan Singer, who had to cut a scene because the movie exceeded three hours of running time. He confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that "Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous."

Such is the magnitude of "DOFP." Thay are skirting through timelines; thus, two versions of the cast-old and new. There is also another divide that can be crossed with time travel-the line between the living and the dead. In 1973, we must remember that the casualties of the "X-Men: The Last Stand" are still alive, specifically, Cyclops and Jean Grey!

What Culture has to look beyond the script for clues on these two: "Famke Janssen, the actress who played Grey in the first three films, is listed as having a stunt double for the film on IMDB. She didn't exactly deny the rumours, stating "One never knows" when asked if a return was possible."

For Cyclops, the clues consist of coincidence and Easter eggs: "He could have been going anywhere, but Marsden was spotted at one time on a plane with Halle Berry. Further to that, this photo of Jennifer Lawrence holding an X-Men clapperboard surfaced online and generated some speculation. Check the clapperboard: third from the left, there's Cyclops."

Very cryptic clues, just how the studios want it. They like to give very vague clues and keep us guessing, because they know we will. And even when we get it right, we'll watch the movie anyway.

May 23, 2014 is the date we debunk or confirm these theories.
