‘Batman: Arkham Origins’ DLC; Single-Player Story Expansion ‘Cold, Cold Heart’ To Feature Mr. Freeze; Launching On April 22

"Batman: Arkham Origins" DLC called Cold, Cold Heart has been announced.

According to a post on Gamespot, Warner Bros. announced today, February 26, the release schedule of the first story expansion for Batman: Arkham Origins. Reportedly, the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins DLC will launch on April 22 for Window PC as well as the Xbox 360 and the PS3 console. It is also noted that the Batman: Arkham Origins DLC will not be available for Wii U "due to a lack of demand."

Moroever, as posted on Polygon, the trailer posted by DC Entertainment revealed that the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins DLC will feature the coolest villain of the franchise, Mr. Freeze. Warner promised that the Cold, Cold Hearts expansion will last "several hours" as it details the origins of Mr. Freeze, as well as his first encounter with Batman.

Furthermore, "Cold, Cold Heart takes places in various Gotham City locations, including Wayne Manor, and gives players the new Batman Extreme Environment (XE) suit and gadgets like the Thermal Gloves and Thermocharged Batarangs," as described on Gamespot.

Warner is promising that the story will last 'several hours' and will detail the origins of Mr Freeze and his first encounter with Batman.

According to the vice president of Warner Bros. Games, Ames Kirshen, "Cold, Cold Heart" is a "big, open-world narrative-based DLC." He shared:

"We're super excited to give fans the origin of this great Batman character. It's like a mini chapter in the game ... This is in-game mission story content with a brand new story wrapped around Mr. Freeze in the Arkham Origins settings."

The Batman: Arkham Origins DLC will be free for those who avail the $20 Season pass for the game. Meanwhile, the Batman: Arkham Origins DLC "Cold, Cold Heart" is worth $10 for those who will buy it separately.
