Upcoming Samsung Phones 2014: New And Improved Galaxy Beam Appears In Korean Tenaa, Specs Include Enhanced Projector, 4.66" LCD Screen, Quad-Core CPU, 1GB RAM,

Upcoming Samsung phones 2014: When the original Galaxy Beam was released more than a year ago, it was welcomed with mix emotions. Like 'what do we need a built-in projector for?' and 'wow, that idea sounds great!'. However, after all is said and done, it did not become a hit.

But as resilient as it can be, Samsung wants to give it a second shot.

According to a report from GSM Arena, a successor of the Galaxy Beam has just passed the Tenaa, the Korean counterpart of the FCC in the US.

Only dubbed as the SM-G3858, the Galaxy Beam 2 or what we expect it to be called, packs a rather low-end 4.66-inch display with WVVGA resolution, a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM and a 5-megapixel rear camera.

Other specs include an 8GB internal storage, 3G connectivity, a microSD card slot and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

However, we don't have any details yet regarding built-in projector, though there would certainly be an improvement over the previous generation model.

Strangely, the device has a metallic finish which definitely looks good. We just hope Samsung decides to bring this back cover to its higher-end devices. There is also a China Mobile branding at the back, which means it would be offered by the world's largest network carrier.

We'll keep you posted once we get a hold of fresh details of the device.
