Install Official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Update On Samsung Galaxy S3; New Stock Firmware, XXUGNB6, Available For GT-I9300 Units In Several Countries

Samsung Galaxy S3 owners can now install official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update.

There is a plan to update the Samsung Galaxy S3 with Google's latest mobile operating system, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, according to GSM Arena. But for the meantime, while waiting for the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to arrive, Samsung Galaxy S3 users can install the latest stock firmware based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean first.

As posted on International Business Times, a new stock firmware based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is now available for Samsung Galaxy S3. The firmware I9300XXUGNB6 has been recently rolled out for the international variant of Samsung Galaxy S3, as a follow up release for the previous update, the I9300XXUGNB4. Reportedly, the latest official firmware is a regular maintenance update from Samsung, bringing in performance enhancements and various bug-fixes.

Particularly, the official  Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update can be installed on the international variant of Samsung Galaxy S3, bearing the model number GT-I9300.

Samsung Galaxy S3 users residing in countries such as Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Egypt, Algeria, South Africa, Iran, Iraq, Tunisia, Kenya, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan,and Turkey can install the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update via Over-The-Air upgrade process.

However, those who have not received the OTA notification yet can opt for the manual installation process to experience the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. Before proceeding to install the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, there are requirements to consider first:

Make sure that the battery level of the device is 80 percent or more to prevent power interruption issues during the installation process.

Create a backup of the data stored on your Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 using the custom recovery tools such as ClockWorkMod or TWRP.

Enable USB Debugging mode on the smartphone.
