Upcoming Samsung Phones 2014: Galaxy S5 Zoom With 20MP Sensor Already Under Development, New Camera Phone Claimed To Boast Slimmer Frame, 4.8" Display, 2GB RAM

Upcoming Samsung phones 2014: Only weeks after the Galaxy S5 launch, Samsung is reportedly working on its camera-centric counterpart already.

According to a report from GSM Arena, a leaked snapshot of a draft board confirmed that the Korean tech giant is already readying its upcoming portable camera smartphone.

In the report, the upcoming smartphone, dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom will feature lower-end specs than its bigger sibling, but it would get a 20MP CMOS sensor instead of the Galaxy S5's 16-megapixel camera.

The Galaxy S5 Zoom's camera is tipped to be able to zoom up to 10x. Also on-board is a 4.8-inch screen with 720p resolution, 2GB of RAM, a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.6GHz, and Android Kitkat out of the box.

However, what could be the smartphone's most interesting feature is the lens, which according to the report, would not be protruding similar to previous releases.

But can Samsung manage to squeeze a 20MP sensor inside a thin smartphone frame? Knowing the Korean manufacturer, it will do everything to please consumers and improve the device's overall user experience.

We'll keep you posted on the Galaxy S5 Zoom in the coming days.
