Install Official Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update For Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE; GT-I9195 Units Receive XXUBNB3 Firmware Via OTA Or Samsung KIES Ugrade

Owners of the international LTE version of Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini can now experience the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

According to a post on International Business Times, Galaxy S4 Mini LTE, bearing the model number GT-I9195 can now be installed with the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

 The firmware, which arrives with build number I9195XXUBNB3 is now available for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE.  Users of Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE who are interested to install the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update can access the firmware via Over-the-Air upgrade or through the desktop tool, Samsung KIES.

But before proceeding with the manual installation process, there are some requirements to satisfy first:

Make sure that your Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is the LTE variant of the device. It should bear the model number GT-I9195. To verify the unit's model, go to Settings > About Device > Model Number.

Make a backup of the important data and settings stored on Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE using the custom recovery tools such as ClockWorkMod or TWRP.

The battery level of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE should be 80 percent or more during the installation process. This is to avoid power interruption issues when installing the firmware, which can cause possible damage on the device.
