Upcoming Samsung Phones 2014: Galaxy S5 Active Under Development? Could Boast Dust, Humidity, Rain, Radiation Resistances, Tipped To Hit AT&T And Sprint

Upcoming Samsung phones 2014: Today is the launch date of HTC's newest flagship, the All New One. However, it seems one of its competitors are already developing another high-end device to complement the Galaxy S5's overall features.

According to a report by GSM Arena, notorious leakster EV Leaks has done it again as it unveiled what it claims to be details about a Galaxy S5 Active variant.

In its Twitter account, EV Leaks unveiled an upcoming Samsung device with a model number SM-G870, which is pretty close to the recently released Galaxy S5's own model number SM-G900.

But if the Korean manufacturer's current flagship already has dust and water resistance, what would the rumored Galaxy S5 Active get?

In the report, while there are no solid details yet, we hope the Galaxy S5 Active would get more resistance features, or an MIL-STD-810G certification. That means the device would be able to withstand salt, dust, humidity, rain, vibration, solar radiation, transport and thermal shock resistance.

EV Leaks also claims that the robust version of the Galaxy S5 will hit AT&T and Sprint stores in the US when it becomes available.

So, are you buying this rumor of an over-powered and extra-heavy duty Galaxy S5?
