Amy Poehler and Tina Fey to Reunite in New Comedy; Golden Globe Co-Hosts Haven’t Shared the Screen Since Baby Mommy

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are a formidable team. In movies, on TV, on stage. They came up through Saturday Night Live, hosted the Golden Globes and are BFFs in real life.

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are getting ready to co-star in new comedy "The Nest." The comedy have hosted the Golden Globes twice and have never  been far from each other since "Saturday Night Live" days.  They will be working on a new movie called "The Nest" six years after they starred together in Baby Mama.

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey will play sisters in Universal's comedy "The Nest."

Amy Poehler is in final negotiations to star in the project. Universal has been developing the movie for months with Tina Fey and "Pitch Perfect" director Jason Moore. Fey announced her involvement in the project in February when it was reported that she's also going to be a producer. "Pitch Perfect's" Jason Moore will direct.

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey willl play thirtysomething sisters who come home to find their parents' house has been put up for sale.

The screenplay is based on an original idea by Paula Pell. Bell is a by longtime Saturday Night Live writer. Fey will produce through her Little Stranger banner

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler appeared together in 2004′s "Mean Girls" and 2008′s "Baby Mama." They were also cast members of "Saturday Night Live" at the same time from 2001 to 2006. Tina Fey went on produce, star, write, direct and cater the NBC series "30 Rock" with Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan.
