Xolo Q1010 review: Specs of the budget-friendly Android handset, Xolo Q1010, includes a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 5-inch display and 1 GB of RAM. The well-designed smartphone is now available for India for RS 12,999.

The unit is in a similar price range with the Moto G, which is priced at an estimated $178, but is now running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat in India. It was announced February 2014 and the smartphone targets the lower-end of the market.

The 5-inch display of the Xolo Q1010 is IPS LCD capacitive and has 16M colors. The resolution of the screen is at 720 x 1280 pixels and has a 294 pixel density.

Other specs of the unit include a 4GB inbuilt storage, expandable to 32GB with microSD. It also has an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and BSI sensor, as well as a secondary 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

NDTV Gadgets noted that in terms of connectivity options, the Xolo Q1010 include 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB and Bluetooth. The budget handset, which because of its size is labeled as a phablet, has a 2250 mAh battery and based on its listing delivers up to 19 hours of talk time.

The company touts the device as a “perfect 10” and adds a free flipcover and OTG cable accessory for prospective buyers.

In a review by Price Deals India, it cites as a key disadvantage the lack of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and the limited native storage of the unit.
