Kate Mara Hot Legs Steal the Show From Johnny Depp at Their First Meeting on the Red Carpet for `Transcendence’ Premiere

Kate Mara made a hot appearance on the red carpet for the premiere of the new film "Transcendence." No one seemed to notice the star of the movie, Johnny Depp, they were so mesmerized by Kate Mara's shapely legs.

Kate Mara says she did not get a chance to meet her 'Transcendence' co-star Johnny Depp while they made the movie because they were filming for separate scenes all the while.  So when Kate Mara's legs snatched the limelight from Johnny Depp at the Transcendence premiere it was quite an introduction.

The star who broke out in her role in "Brokeback Mountain" told Ellen DeGeneres she didn't meet Johnny Depp until the movie's press junket.

In the new film, Mara plays the head of an anti-tech group that tries to take down Depp and other scientists who support Artificial Intelligence.

In a statement, Kate said "I am in a Johnny Depp movie but I didn't get to meet him! We were shooting for separate scenes all the while. I finally met him at the press junket for our movie. He is quite nice."

She continued "I play the head of this anti-technology group trying to take down Johnny Depp and these other scientists supporting Artificial Intelligence."

Unable to stop Depp's character, Kate Mara stole the limelight from Johnny Depp at the premiere of his new film Transcendence in Los Angeles and at the Transcendence premiere in Beijing premiere. Kate dazzled in a glamorous gown as Johnny Depp, and his on-screen wife, Rebecca Hall, who  also turned heads in a black embellished gown, joined supporting stars Morgan Freeman and Paul Bettany, spent time chatting with fans.

Transcendence tells the story of Dr. Will Caster, (Johnny Depp) a terminally ill scientist who uploads his mind to a computer.

Transcendence was directed by Wally Pfister. The movie hits theaters on April 18, 2014.
