Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Lenovo Rumored To Unveil First 'True Octa-Core' Powered Smartphone In China, Golden Warrior S8's Alleged Pricing Only $130

Upcoming Android phones 2014: For the longest time, Lenovo has been known for its PC desktops and laptops, especially when it acquired IBM several years ago. However, the Chinese company has slowly shifted its gear to smartphones and tablets, and it has made quite a progress.

And if you are a company offering a midrange device at just $130, you are certainly in the right direction.

According to a report by GSM Arena, several leaked images of a new Lenovo handset appeared online. Dubbed as the Galaxy Warrior S8, the device is a midrange device that is competitively spec'd in order to hold its own on smartphone duels.

Here are a few promo shots of the device:

As you can seee, the device is well designed, which makes it look like a more expensive smartphone. But how about its internals?

In the report, the Lenovo Galaxy Warrior S8 packs a 5.3-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution on a Gorilla Glass 3 screen, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

Also on board is a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter which is already a great combination, a 2,000mAh battery and even dual-SIM support.

However, the main selling point of the Lenovo handset is certainly its 'true octa-core' chipset which the company claims to be the first octa-core chip to run on eight cores simultaneously, and not just four at a time.

And buyers would get all of these midrange features not at $250, $200, or even $150. The soon to be announced Lenovo smartphone is said to cost only $130 - a great alternative to the highly popular Moto G.

Unfortunately for Kitkat fans, the Galaxy Warrior S8 only runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, though we hope it would be updated to version 4.4 some time soon.
