Install Official Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update On Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE; G900FXXU1ANCF Stock Firmware Available For The Smartphone’s International Variant

Owners of Samsung Galaxy S5 can now install the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the recently-released smartphone.

As posted on International Business Times, the first stock firmware based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat is now rolling out for the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE. Particularly, the firmware with build number G900FXXU1ANCF is now available for the international version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE, which bears the model number SM-G900F.

According to GSM Arena, Samsung Galaxy S5 was announced on February and was recently made available in the market this April. The smartphone was already pre-installed with Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. However, because of certain firmware issues, users of the Samsung Galaxy S5 can opt to reinstall the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update and modify the stock firmware through custom ROMs.

The G900FXXU1ANCF Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is now available in various countries such as Malaysia, Philippines, Germany, Greece, Thailand, Romania, Singapore, Czech Republic and more. Those who are interested to install the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update can do so via the Over-the-Air upgrade process or using the Samsung KIES desktop tool.  The firmware brings in performance enhancements as well bug fixes.
