LG G3 Release Date: 3 Reasons Why The Upcoming High-End Handset Will Beat Samsung's Galaxy S5

LG G3 release date: LG has been silent for months about its upcoming smartphone - the G3, but rumors are already pointing to an impending release in the coming weeks if not months.

But just in case it gets launched soon, would the LG G3 be able to match up with the current heavyweights of the Android market? One of the formidable flagships today is Samsung's freshly-released Galaxy S5.

Fortunately for LG fans, the new LG G3 would be able to take on the S5 easily. Here are three reasons why:

1. Higher resolution display

Before the Galaxy S5 was launched, it was tipped to get a 2K (2560 x 1440) display. However, during its announcement at MWC in Barcelona, that did not pan out to be true. The same rumors are now attributed to the upcoming LG G3 flagship. Once these rumors become accurate, then Samsung's high-end device will certainly have its hands full. At 2K resolution, the human eye will have a very difficult time pinpointing pixels in such displays.

2. Higher RAM

Aside from the Full HD resolution screen, a number of Samsung and Android fans were disappointed that the device only has 2GB of RAM, the same as last year's. Sony's new Xperia Z2 has 3GB of RAM, and so as the Oppo Find 7. But as a world leader, Samsung could have increased its flagship's RAM in order to keep the phone future proof in the next couple of years. Rumors surrounding the G3 claim that it will have a 3GB RAM which would allow the smartphone to perform better in multi-tasking chores.

3. Better design

Considering the Samsung Galaxy S5's design, any other design could certainly look a lot better. And knowing LG, the Korean manufacturer will surely deliver a quality and premium design which we loved in the G2 last year. LG has already beaten Samsung in the curved phone war, and there's no stopping the company in doing the same with the flagship category especially that Samsung has placed the bar too low.

So as far as we can tell, the LG G3 is one step ahead of Samsung's Galaxy S5 in some notable areas. However, the S5 leads the rumored specs of the G3 as far as camera lens and battery efficiency are concerned.
