OnePlus One Is The Best Android Phone When It Launches, CyanogenMod-Powered Device Beats Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One (M8) In AnTuTu Benchmark

OnePlus One: For the past few months, we have been hearing (or reading) about the OnePlus One smartphone that is developed by former Oppo employees. And from the looks of it, it sure is a promising handset.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, the start-up company has recently posted the overall benchmark score it got from AnTuTu benchmark and guess what? It outperformed all other current flagships which have also undergone the same tests.

While we do not have any details regarding the individual scores the OnePlus One got for different departments, beating Samsung's Galaxy S5, HTC's One (M8) and Sony's Xperia Z2 is definitely not a small feat. Most likely, the handset was able to notch above-average ratings, and even ace other tests en route to a first place finish.

But if we consider the phone's specs, this should not come as a surprise. According to reports and OnePlus itself, the phone's specs include a 5.5-inch screen built in a frame that is allegedly smaller than the Xperia Z1 handset which packs a 5-inch display.

Meanwhile, other notable specs include a super fast Snapdragon 801 chipset, four Krait 400 CPUs running at 2.5GHz each, 3GB of RAM for superior multi-tasking capabilities, and a 16GB built-in memory.

Also on board is a 13MP primary camera made by Sony, which can shoot 4K videos, or so the company claims. If you love Android, then OnePlus sure brings that to the table with its CyanogenMod version of Android 4.4 KitKat.

In previous reports, the OnePlus One will be priced below 400 euros in Europe, and would be announced in just a week. If the company will stick with this pricing strategy, then expect the manufacturer to sell a huge number of OnePlus One smartphones during its release date in Q2.
