Top Android Phones 2014: HTC's Previous Flagship Getting Newest Sense Version In May, Will Make Device Future-Proof A Little Longer

Top Android phones 2014: HTC has recently unveiled its newest flagship smartphone, the One (M8). But it does not mean the Taiwanese manufacturer is already abandoning its once loved One (M7) handset.

And in a new report from GSM Arena, President of HTC America Jason Mackenzie has tweeted that the previous flagship will soon receive the Sense 6 UI treatment which is already present in the current flagship (M8).

In the tweet, Mackenzie is referring to HTC One (M7) users in North America, including Canada and the United States. In case you have bought HTC's flagship device last year and you are worried that its last update would be Sense 5.5 and Android 4.4.2 Kitkat, then it is time for you to rejoice.

In addition to the previous 'the One', the One max and One mini would also be getting the update any time soon.

Released last year, the first generation HTC One packs a 4.7-inch screen with Full HD resolution, 2GB of RAM, a quad-core CPU, Snapdragon 600 and 4MP UltraPixel camera. It's funny how such specs can already be considered outdated by today's standards, especially that Snapdragon 800 and 801 are already available.

Stay tuned for the update via OTA by the end of May.
