Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom A.K.A. K-Zoom Will Be Launched On April 29 In Singapore, Specs Include 20.2MP Camera With 10x Optical Zoom, 4.8" Display, 2GB RAM

Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom: For the past years, Samsung has been using its current and previous flagships in developing and bringing new phones to the market. And it looks like the newly announced Galaxy S5 will not be an exception.

According to a report from GSM Arena, the Korean manufacturer has just sent out invites for a launch on April 29, in Singapore. And you guessed it right - it is the Galaxy S5 Zoom, a.k.a. K-Zoom.

How did we know that it would be the K-Zoom? First it is a 'Samsung Media Day' which means it will be related to imaging or music. And then the header 'Kapture the Moment' gave it away.

For the past few weeks we have been hearing and reading a lot about the upcoming camera-centric device. From what we have read from rumors and previous reports, the Galaxy S5 Zoom will feature a slightly smaller 4.8-inch screen and a slightly lower resolution (only HD).

Good thing Samsung kept its Super AMOLED display so color production and viewing angles are still good.

However, it makes up for it with 2GB of RAM and a hexa-core Exynos 5 chipset which can help the device become a smaller version of a DSLR camera. The K-Zoom is tipped to run Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box.

So how many pixels would it have? Reports are pointing to a 20.2 megapixel camera which is powered by optical image stabilization or OIS. There is also a 10x optical zoom which will work perfectly for close up and distant shots.

Aside from the Galaxy S5 Zoom, other Samsung devices which would be based on the company's newest flagship also include the S5 Active and S5 mini.

We will bring you all the latest updates about the K-Zoom during its launch a couple of weeks from now.
