According to the latest rumors about the PS4 system update 1.7 release date, the firmware might arrive early next week. The PS4 update 1.7 is expected to bring in the ability to turn off HDCP and include option to export to USB devices, as posted on PSU.com.

NowGamer stated that turning off HDCP will allow players to capture the gameplay through the HDMI. Also, the post mentioned that Sony indicated before that the PS4 update 1.7 will have a video editor.

The grapevines about the PS4 update 1.7 release date intensified when Chris Owen, the PlayStation community manager posted this tweet:

According to a post on International Business Times, the tweet seems to indicate that the PS4 update 1.7 release date might already be on the horizon.

Furthermore, as posted on Now Gamer, Owen's tweet was followed by another Twitter post from a moderation specialist at SCEE, saying, "it's a something for everyone kinda week".

 To add weight to the tweets from Sony employees, a NeoGAF user, Tidux, talked about the PS4 update 1.7 release date on this thread. One of his posts reads, "plans to announce this week, and release the next".

The PlayStation maker also indicated before that is collaborating with Ustream and Twitch to improve the quality of the broadcast, as well as the ability to archive Twitch broadcasts. However, it seems that these features will not be available yet in PS4 update 1.7.

As for other PS4 news, IB Times noted, citing a report from GameSpot, that Sony has already started selling "individual PlayStation 4 parts for local gamers in Japan." The post further reads, "Even though the service won't allow players to build the console up from scratch, it will still come in handy when gamers are looking for a spare HDD bay bracket or a power cord."
