Destiny PS4 Release Date Set For September 9; Upcoming Bungie Game ‘Close To Shipping;’ Details Of The Beta Launch To Be Revealed Soon?

It was previously announced that Destiny PS4 release date is set for September 9.

Despite the most recent issue about Bungie terminating the composer for Destiny and Halo series, Marty O'Donnel, it seems that the Destiny PS4 release date is still firm as the COO of the game studio, Pete Parsons, said that the upcoming massively multiplayer online action-adventure FPS is "close to shipping." Furthermore, Parsons also said that the music of Marty O'Donnell remains in the game.

As cited on GameRanx, Parsons shared:

"I think the Bungie fanbase is going to look forward to hearing Marty's music, Mike Salvatori's music, C. Paul's music and Paul McCartney's music in the game. That's going to be exciting for people. It's going to be a great, fantastic experience.

"I believe people will be transported not just by the activities and the stories within the Destiny universe but by the sights and the wonderful sounds and music. We have a fantastic team. We're pretty close to shipping. There's a lot of polish left to do, lots of tweaking and tuning, but a lot is already complete."

On Wednesday, Marty O'Donnel posted a tweet regarding his termination stating that he was let go by the company "without a cause." According to International Business Times, O'Donell was born in Westchester, Pennsylvania. He graduated from the University of Southern California with A Masters of Music Degree in Composition.

Furthermore, the Destiny beta for PS3 and PS4 is set for this summer 2014,although no further details yet have been revealed by Bungie. However, based on the studio's latest information about the game, it seems that the schedule of the beta launch could be released soon.

According to Bungie, those who will cancel their pre-order and then pre-order the game again on a different console do not need to re-apply for the beta anymore. Reportedly, the retailer code will do on any of the platforms even if it has already been redeemed.

In addition to PS4, Destiny is also set to arrive for PS3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in September. The Destiny beta for PS4 and PS3 is expected to launch this summer 2014.
