ZTE Star 1 Release Date, News: Specs Of Android 4.4.2 Powered LTE Smartphone Incl. 5-inch Full HD Display, 1GB RAM, Quad-Core Processor; Intends To Impress

ZTE Star 1 release date, news: Specs of the Android 4.4.2-powered and LTE smartphone, ZTE Star 1, includes a 5-inch Full HD display, 1.6GHz quad-core processor, and 1GB of RAM. The unit supports single SIM functionality and thanks to its slim device, it’s a smartphone that definitely intends to impress.

ZTE has launched the Star 1 in China and is available for a price of CNY 1399 or an estimated $225. According to NDTV, there is no word from the company when the ZTE Star 1 will be released globally.

The ZTE Star 1 also has an 8-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and BIS (back-illuminated sensor), NDTV notes. The front-facing camera of the unit features 5 megapixels.

In terms of storage, it has 16GB and 32GB options, NDTV says that it has no notes on the expandable storage for the device. If ever one is available it’s most possibly because micro SD support is available. Battery-wise the ZTE Star 1 will have a 2300mAh battery and will be available in three color variants: black, pink and white.

Apart from the LTE connectivity option available for the ZTE Star 1, it also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/APS and 3G.

According to First Post, the ZTE Star 1 overall has a mix of mid-range specs fused with a top-end display. Though the device is powered with Android KitKat, press images of the handset showcases a custom UI. It makes it similar with the Amigo OS present with Gionee handsets.

ZTE Star 1 is not yet expected to be launched in India, but ZTE is working with telcos in the country to launch new 4G phones. First Post reported that Reliance Jio was testing devices for their scheduled 4G services launch in September. According to the report, Reliance was testing phones from the likes of Samsung, Huawei and ZTE.
