‘Toy Story 4' Plot Spoilers: ‘Pixar Theory’ Suggests Toys Will Return To Take Over The World! Did Viral Blogger Get It Right? Disney-Pixar Insider Jay Ward Debunks It!

While "Toy Story 4" has yet to become a greenlit film, the speculation continues over how the saga would present its fourth installment. While most fans of Buzz and Woody claim that "Toy Story 3" is a proper finale for the toys, certain theories assume that there are loose ends in the saga.

Some people just can't get enough of a good thing. That's how some Pixar insiders dismiss the theories presented by enthusiastic bloggers. The first known suggestion was from an "After Hours" video by Cracked, but blogger Jon Negroni took it a step further with his "Pixar Theory."

Also called the "Unified Pixar Universe" Theory, it's a loose timeline from "Brave" all the way to "WALL-E" and back again to "Brave" and it depicts how machines take over the world from the humans.

The part of the theory that tackled "Toy Story" suggests that the development of the toys' character is still not done. From jonnegroni.com:

"Meanwhile, Pixar is hinting at dissatisfaction among pockets of toy civilizations. The toys rise up against Sid in the first movie. Jesse resents her owner, Emily, for abandoning her. Lotso Huggin' Bear straight up hates humans by the third movie.

Toys are obviously not satisfied with the status quo, providing a reason for why machines and objects alike are ready to take over."

The viral blog post reached Pixar, of course, and Jay Ward, art coordinator and 'character manager' for the "Cars" franchise addressed this in an interview with Jalopnik's Jason Torchinsky:

"JT: have you heard about this unified Pixar Movie Theory?

JW: Yes.

JT: What do you think about it?

JW: I think somebody had a lot of time on their hands. They may have had some other recreational activities...

JT: So would you go as far as to deny that there's a common thread

JW: It's almost like the 9/11 conspiracy theories... it's like, really? No, the movies were sort of made in a different order by different directors in different times, in different places. It's cool that it all worked out that way, but it probably was not intentional.

JT: You realize everyone is going to just take this as proof.

JW: Yeah!

JT: The fact you're denying it just means that the little girl from Monsters, Inc. is the witch causing all these things?

JW: It was all thought out in the beginning. It was all Steve Jobs' master plan. It's all about selling the iPhone 6."

Torchinsky notes that he Ward was laughing during these series of questions. The sarcastic dismissal seems to hint that somehow, Negroni did strike a chord here.

Was Pixar busted? Would that affect the quality of their movies? Pixar and Disney itself would be familiar with the situation of viewers reading a little too much into their movies. The vague denials will continue and so will the theories.

Do you believe the Pixar Theory holds water? Will that make viewing upcoming Pixar movies more exciting?
