Jenny McCarthy announced her engagement to Donnie Wahlberg on Wednesday. Jenny McCarthy announced on The View Wednesday, April 16, that she is engaged to Donnie Wahlberg. McCarthy said the New Kids On The Block singer proposed last weekend.

Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg have been dating how long? The couple began dating last summer after meeting on the set of The View. Co-host Barbara Walters offered the two her New York City apartment as a wedding venue, but made it clear: "On the wedding night, you cannot stay in my apartment." 

Comedian and former Playboy Bunny Jenny McCarthy took to her show "The View" to announce she's the new girl on the block.McCarthy, 41, made the announcement, threw her hands up in the air and jumped up and down on stage with her co-hosts, well, except for Barbara Walters who, at 84, sat that one out.
Showing her new ring, McCarthy gushed "I just got engaged!"

On Thursday, Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg were photographed taking a romantic stroll, walking hand-in-hand at a campsite in upstate New York. 
McCarthy said her 11-year-old son Evan was the go-between "Donnie went into the other room and out came Evan with a card that said, 'Will,' and he handed it to me and I didn't know what was going on yet. And then Evan ran away and Evan came back with a card that said 'You.' And then he ran away and I knew what was happening and I just started crying. And then Evan came back with a card that said 'marry; but spelled wrong --  it said 'M-A-R-Y' -- and then the last time Donnie came out with Evan, and Donnie's shirt said 'Me?' with a question mark holding the ring."

At that point, McCarthy continued the story through happy tears, "and he got down on his knee and he said, 'Will you marry me?,' and I, of course, said yes and in that moment Evan yelled, 'I have another dad,' and it just made all of us cry. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. He's so wonderful."

When Barbara Walters asked her when the big day was, McCarthy admitted "We don't know yet," but said they were thinking of getting married sometime in August 2015 "or maybe stretching it out a year."

McCarthy took to Twitter to tell her fans "Thank you for all of the sweet wishes. @donniewahlberg and I are grateful and blessed. #love #bhlove."
