Nirvana Reunion: PJ Harvey Turned Down Offer To Front Band Reunion In Hall Of Fame Induction; Dave Grohl Tells Story Why ‘It Had To Be All Women’ For Reunion

Nirvana Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction: It finally happened! Nirvana is in the Hall of Fame and the reunion of the band finally happened.

Thanks to the help of amazing voices of some girl singers such as Lorde, St. Vincent, Kim Gordon and Joan Jett, the crowd in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn went wild for the 90's grunge band.

It has been rumored that PJ Harvey would be included in the list of the vocalists that would front them for the said event but was reported to respectfully turn down the offer because of conflict with the schedule.

"We thought, 'Wait, it has to be all women' Don't even ask anyone else. If we can fill the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame performance with these incredible women singing Nirvana songs, then we'll have achieved our own revolution.' It also added a whole other dimension to the show. It added substance and depth, so it didn't turn into a eulogy. It was more about the future."

"The first time we played together, it was like seeing a ghost. The second time, it was a little more reserved. And the last time we played it was like that f**king Demi MoorePatrick Swayze pottery wheel scene from Ghost... I hadn't played in that band in 20 years... I'd almost forgotten what it was like to be in a room full of Nirvana."

After the band said their speech to thank everyone that did a part for them, the band played. Joan Jett sang Smells Like Teen Spirit with Nirvana to start their performance.

It was followed by Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon performing Aneurysm. Annie Clark, also known as St. Vincent followed Gordon and played Lithium. The band ended the night with Lorde playing All Apologies.
