Install Official Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update On Samsung Galaxy S4; LTE Variant Powered By Snapdragon 600 Receives Firmware XXUFNC8 Via OTA

Users of Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE can now install the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.  

The specs list for Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE posted on GSM Arena stated that the 2013 flagship smartphone of the South Korean tech company originally comes with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. However, Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE can now be installed with the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

According to a post on International Business Times, a firmware based on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat update is now available for Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE. Specifically, the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is compatible with the LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 which comes with the Snapdragon 600 processor.

The firmware, with build number I9505XXUFNC8 can be installed only for the GT-I9505 models of the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE. Reportedly, Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE in United Kingdom subscribed under Vodafone can install the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update via Over-the-Air upgrade. They can also access the firmware and install the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update via the Samsung KIES desktop tool.

Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE users who cannot access the latest and official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update can still have a firmware upgrade via manual installation process using the Odin tool. Some of the requirements before proceeding with the actual installation process are stated below:

Make sure that the battery level of the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE is 80 percent or more to avoid power interruption issues.
