Upcoming Samsung Phones 2014: Galaxy Note 4 Could Be First Smartphone To Get 3-Sided Display, Expected Launch In September

Upcoming Samsung phones 2014: The CES and MWC have both ended, HTC has released its new One M8 phone, and other budding Android OEMs have been making waves in the industry.

But those would not stop Samsung from regaining all the hype en route to the release of its newest Galaxy Note phablet.

Yes, the Galaxy Note 4 will not be available until the next five months, but as early as now the Korean tech manufacturer is already trying to give us a glimpse of what to expect.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the new Galaxy Note 4 would reportedly boast the company's flexible YOUM OLED displays, the same screens which graced the Galaxy Round late last year.

But contrary to the Round, the Note 4 could have edges on the display to divide the screen into three sides. In the report, each side will be a 'zone' where specific notifications and details would be displayed.

There would also be notifications for incoming calls, messages, emails and others, though we are not sure how Samsung would implement this on such a crucial device in their lineup for this year.

Of course, whenever we talk about a new type of screen, the form and build of the entire phone will surely follow. In the report, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 would reportedly get a fresh look that would distinguish it from previous versions. However, considering what the Korean manufacturer did with the Galaxy S5, we cannot exactly be sure that the design would be revolutionarily-good.
