‘Drop Dead Diva’ Creator Josh Berman Gets Three-Year Deal With Sony; Season 6 Returns With Episode 6 With Jane And Grayson Representing A Client
"Drop Dead Diva" creator Josh Berman inked a new three-year deal with Sony Pictures Television as season 6 returns with episode 6 on Sunday where Jane and Grayson will represent a client.
The three-year deal marked the fourth consecutive deal for John Berman, according to Deadline. Under the new pact, he will continue to executive produce "Drop Dead Diva" season 6 over at Lifetime network, a series he created that is now entering its sixth season and final season.
Aside from "Drop Dead Diva," his other credits include "CSI," "Bones," "Vanished" and "Mob Doctor."
"Drop Dead Diva" season 6, episode 6 will air on Sunday with both Jane and Grayson taking on a case involving national security. Kim, on the other hand, will represent orphans after they were kicked out by their adoptive parents following their home makeover show appearance.
Meanwhile, Stacy is getting antsy after she was told that she might be pregnant with an "evil baby" because of her frequent burping.
Meanwhile, series creator Josh Berman told TV Line that the final season of "Drop Dead Diva" season 6 will revolve around the love story between Jane Bingum and Grayson Kent.
"So many shows have the will-they-or-won't-they couple and it never really gets resolved, but this certainly gets resolved - one way or the other - this year," he said, although admittedly the couple had a rocky start after Grayson found out that Jane trusted her friend Stacy with the truth and not him.
Berman said that to his mind, "Drop Dead Diva" season 6 is always between Jane and Grayson even if Owen was in the picture momentarily.
At the end of episode 2 of "Drop Dead Diva" season 6, Grayson called Jane and she was worried that he wanted to cancel their date. This was about the time Jane dropped the bomb on Grayson after finally admitting to him that she is Deb.Fortunately, however, Grayson only called to tell her that he's thinking of her.
