George Clooney Proposes To New Girlfriend! ‘The Monuments Men’ Finally Engaged To British Lawyer Amal Alamuddin
George Clooney's new gilfriend is the one! The actor has proposed and is now engaged to British Lawyer Amal Alamuddin, as the "The Monuments Men" star was spotted with his new fiancee dining out at Nobu in Malibu, California on Thursday night.
In fact, George Clooney's new girlfriend showed off her new ring to former model Cindy Crawford who joined them for dinner, along with Academy winner Edward Norton, according to Entertainment Tonight.
When prodded for a reaction on the rumor that George Clooney is engaged, the representative of the "Gravity" actor told the website: "I don't comment on my client's personal life."
However, an insider confirmed to People magazine that George Clooney is engaged to Amal Alamuddin although they are "trying to keep things very low-key."
"But they also aren't really trying to hide this ... I think it's like they want the people they love to know that this is real, that they plan on being together forever," the insider added.
The website also reported that George Clooney's new girlfriend and the "Ides of March" director were joined by their friends in celebrating the engagement at Craig's.
In March, the couple has been spotted around town, after a quick getaway to Tanzania and Seychelles.
George Clooney and his new girlfriend went on a wildlife safari in Tanzania and for a bit of frolicking in Seychelles islands, E! News reported. During the getaway, barrister Amal Alamuddin even snuggled against George Clooney as he put his arm around her.
The couple was snapped for the special screening of "The Monuments Men" at the White House with President Obama on February 18, People reported.
Although most people only know her as "George Clooney's new girlfriend," barrister Amal Alamuddin is a specialist in human rights, criminal law, international law and extradition proceedings.
She was also named London's hottest barrister for 2013 and represented Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.
