Bollywood Awards 2014 Held in U.S. for First Time; Kevin Spacey and John Tavolta Celebrate Indian Film Winners; `Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ Big Winner; List of Winners

Bollywood Awards 2014: The Bollywood Awards, which celebrate filmmaking in India, was held in the United States for the first time this year. American film stars Kevin Spacey and John Travolta were on hand to enjoy the festivities and help celebrate Indian films. Also on hand was "Slumdog Millionaire" star Anil Kapoor.

Two-time Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey presented actress Deepika Padukone with the award for Entertainer of the Year. He also sang, and wildly danced to, "Lungi Dance" from the film "Chennai Express."

Hrithik Roshan presented Travolta with an award for Outstanding Achievement in International Cinema, saying Travolta was "the coolest of them all." Travolta happily accepted, saying "I'm honored. I'm humbled."

Bollywood actors like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Anil Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Hrithik Roshan, Anupam Kher, Parineeti Chopra, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Ramesh Sippy, Vaani Kapoor, Siddharth Malhotra, Arshad Warsi, Vive Oberoi and others attended the award ceremony.

The 15th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) was co-hosted by Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar who got into the spirit of the Pirate theme by dressing as suave swashbucklers. Unlike the Academy Awards, IIFA uses a green carpet instead of a red one.

The Bollywood Awards 2014 show was recorded at Tampa, Florida's NFL Stadium. It will be broadcast in June. IIFA says some 800 million people worldwide are expected to watch the event.

Bollywood stars Kapoor and Akhtar demanded the key to Tampa from Mayor Bob Buckhorn, who agreed with the tease "I will give you this key if and only if you entertain us."

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's biopic on legendary athlete Milkha Singh, "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" was the big winner, pulling in five major awards including best actor, best director and best picture. Divya Dutta, who played the role of Milkha's sister in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag won the best supporting actress award.

'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' won the Best Cinematography (Binod Pradhan), Best Screenplay (Prasoon Joshi), Best Dialogue (Prasoon Joshi), Best Editing (P S Bharti),Best Sound Design (Nakul Kamte ), Best Sound Mixing (Pranav Shukla),Best Background Score (Shankar-Ehsaan- Loy), Best Costume Designing (Dolly Ahluwalia), and Best Make-Up (Vikram Gaikwad).

Best Director - Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'.

Best performance in a comic role Arshad Warsi for 'Jolly L.L.B'

Best performance in a negative role - Rishi Kapoor for 'D-Day'

Best Playback Singer (Female) - Shreya Ghoshal for Sun Raha Hai Na Tu (Aashiqui 2)

Best Playback Singer (Male) - Arijit Singh for Tum Hi Ho (Aashiqui 2)

Entertainer of the year - Deepika Padukone
