Death Of One 'The Simpsons' Character To Be Bigger Than 'Game Of Thrones' Purple Wedding Murder; Will Fans Start A Petition Just Like With 'Family Guy' Brian Griffin's Death?

Fans of 'The Simpsons' characters might find themselves in a shocked state when the show kills off one of its "terrific character". Recent 'The Simpsons' teasers hint that the character who will be killed off once nabbed an Emmy award for the actor who does its voiceover.

'The Simpsons' executive producer Al Jean even jokes that the imminent death of the major character will be greater than the 'Game of Thrones' Purple Wedding murder episode wherein King Joffrey Baratheon has been poisoned.

Jean jokingly describes the upcoming episode as a "Yellow Wedding" which is reminiscent of the hit HBO series.

"It's a terrific character and it [happens in] our premiere this coming year. But just because a character is dying, that doesn't mean he [or she] won't pop up in future episode," he said.

Killing of one major 'The Simpsons' character is believed to be pivotal in boosting the show's declining ratings. Last Sunday, the famed cartoon series got its lowest ratings with merely 3.4 million viewers.

Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie might be the character though it will be too crucial for the series. Some fans think that the character who will make an exit might be Grampa, Lou or Sideshow Bob.

Will the death of 'The Simpsons' character likewise spark an online petition just like what Brian Griffin's death did? Last November, 'Family Guy' opted to kill off the family's beloved dog.

However, online petitions have moved creator Seth MacFarlane to come up with an ingenious way to bring back the dead Brian Griffin whose demise took place because of a car crash.

Who do you think is 'The Simpsons' character who will say goodbye?
