While Australian beauty Miranda Kerr is busy gaining the admiration of several men, her former husband Orlando Bloom is likewise being linked to Selena Gomez. After being spotted sitting together on a sidewalk, reports have circulated that the ‘Romeo and Juliet' actor invited the brunette beauty to a Buddhist meeting.

Unknown to many, Bloom is a member of the Soka Gakki International, a group which provides a Buddhism practice called "Nichiren Daishonin". As per one of Hollywood Life's sources, Bloom invited Gomez to one chanting session thinking that it could help her handle her problems better.

"Orlando has been really supportive off Selena and has even invited her to chant with him at a Buddhist meeting. He says chanting helps people turn poison into medicine and it doesn't matter what religion you practice, any one can benefit from chanting," claimed the source.

The ‘Lord of the Rings' actor likewise claimed that the chanting helped him move on from his divorce with the former Victoria's Secret angel. Nonetheless, the source claims that Bloom and Gomez are nothing but friends. The ‘Montecarlo' actress reportedly sees Bloom as a "good influence".

However, one insider reports that Gomez might be using Bloom to make Bieber jealous: "She really needs to get Justin out of her system, that's why she's been hanging out with Orlando. She knows it will get to Justin because they got in a fight over Orlando already and he accused her of cheating on him. He's totally threatened by Orlando. She wants to make Justin hurt as much as he hurt her. Plus, she thinks Orlando is super hot, she's always had a crush on him."
