Cody Simpson girlfriend Gigi Hadid might have celebrated her 19th birthday with a blast but it did not exempt her love life from falling apart. The representative of the 17-year-old Australian crooner recently confirmed that Cody Simpson and Gigi Hadid have called it quits after being together for 10 months.

"Their busy schedules and living on opposite coasts have made it nearly impossible for the two of them to give the relationship the attention that it needs," said the representative to E! News.

Despite Cody Simpson and Gigi Hadid's split, the two remain friends and are reportedly hoping that fate will bring them back together one day: "They decided that rather than let things sour that they split up in hopes that their lives might someday bring them back together."

Cody Simpson's girlfriend Gigi Hadid just celebrated her birthday though an all-night bash in a Beverly Hills private residence. Some of the guests present in the party were the celebrant's younger siblings Bella and Anwar, Kylie Jenner, Joe Jonas and girlfriend Blanda Eggenschwiller, and Katharine McPhee.

The ‘La Dee Da' singer even surprised the Guess model with a platter of ice cream cupcakes from the Coldstone Creamery.

Recently, the ‘Dancing with the Stars' contender even expressed his gratitude for the blonde beauty because of her support to his dancing gig.

"It was great. I had her, I had my grandparents here from Australia, and I had my whole family here. It's nice to have that support from the loved ones. I love my family and obviously my girlfriend, so we had a great time," said the ‘Surfboard' singer who likewise confessed that Hadid jokingly warned him not to move his hips too much in front of his dance partner.
