When Will Big Bang Make Their Comeback? Perhaps Sooner Than You Think!

Big Bang has been one of K-Pop's hottest acts since their debut seven years ago and the group is expected to make a comeback this year.

On May 9, members G-Dragon and Taeyang teased fans with the possibility that a comeback may happen sooner than expected when they posted an Instagram photo of themselves in working in the studio at YG Entertainment.

The photo, uploaded to Taeyang's Instagram account, shows the two friends sitting around at YG headquarters taking a break with the caption "Studio chilling @xxxibgdrgn."

Last month, the group's deep-voiced rapper, TOP, revealed in an interview with Section TV that a new album will be released before the year is through. "[We are] thinking in the latter half of this year," he said.

The revealing statement comes after the CEO of their label, Yang Hyun Suk, announced earlier this year that the group was preparing for a summer comeback. While there is no official word of when fans can expect a new Big Bang release, the new photo is positive proof that something is definitely in the works.

In March, a YG rep confirmed that G-Dragon had begun the busy process of writing and composing songs for the forthcoming album, which will be Big Bang's first release as a group in two years. With a timeline set for a summer or early fall release, fans are excited to see what sort of new sound and spirit the five members will bring to the table, and with G-Dragon now at the helm, things are looking good.

However, as fans of the group and other YG artists are well aware, the perfectionist spirit runs free at the label, and nothing will happen until all parties are 100% satisfied with the final product.

Meanwhile, Big Bang's label-mate Psy is still putting the finishing touches on his long-awaited seventh album and new single and rookie boy group WINNER is preparing for their official debut in the coming weeks.
